Dr. Beth Nielsen
grew up here in Parker. After dental school, she completed two advanced dental residencies, one at University Hospital, and the second at The Children's Hospital in Denver. She has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry for over 15 years. Combining the knowledge gained from her dental training and the patience and practicalities earned from being a mom, Dr. Beth has mastered the art of Dentist providing superior dental care with a compassionate chair side manner.
Dr. Beth is a Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and an active member of the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Colorado Dental Society, Metro Denver Dental Society, Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Parker Chamber of Commerce. She is also an active member in the community supporting our local schools with donations, sponsorships, hosting field trips to our office, and providing educational school visits in the classrooms. Dr. Beth encourages healthy life choices by supporting various school walk a thons and fun runs. Although Dr. Beth is generous with her service here in our community, it does not end there-she has a heart for children all over the world. Her donations to world projects include Haiti, Peru, Ecuador, Ethiopia, and countless other countries that have need for better oral health care.
Dr. Beth Nielsen's practice, Sweetpea Children's Dentistry, opened in June of 2007 and is conveniently located near Jordan Rd. and Lincoln Avenue. Our 2300 sq. foot facility is colorful and clean. We offer a spacious reception area equipped with video games, toys, movies, and books. We have a large open bay where children can enjoy the company of parents and siblings as they receive a thorough cleaning by our excellent staff. The office also provides two comfortable quiet rooms for patients with treatment needs. Hospital care is available when needed; Dr. Beth has surgical privileges at The Children's Hospital, one of the nation's top 5 hospitals for children.
Dr. Ashley Barefoot was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. She has always had a passion for children and spent much of her teenage years babysitting and volunteering for youth group ministries. She graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia with high honors. She completed her dental education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. After obtaining a couple of years of experience as a general dentist, she decided to pursue a lifelong goal of working with children by completing a pediatric dental residency at Children's Hospital in Denver (the same program where Dr. Beth trained). During her residency she received specialized training in treating healthy and medically compromised children, as well as those with special healthcare needs and craniofacial abnormalities. She is trained in traumatic dental injuries and emergencies, hospital dentistry, and emphasizes prevention.
Dr. Ashley is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She donates much of her time to improving her community and has served in homeless shelters, Special Olympics, breast cancer marathons, and multiple dental events aimed at treating those in need. She served on a medical and dental mission trip to Nicaragua and Costa Rica and looks forward to similar opportunities in the future.
With a warm and caring personality, Dr. Ashley provides a fun, comfortable, and educational experience for children and parents alike. Her main goal is to provide patients with a positive dental experience that will carry into adulthood. Dr. Ashley's tender touch and compassionate heart make any child feel right at home in the dental chair.
